The audiences’ influences for their enjoyment to the genre, are mainly for emotional stimulation, as the genre exhibits real life people, situations, settings and stories, so the audience can relate to the characters, and picture themselves in their situations. Because of the movies of this genre often are based on true events and people, it makes the films very knowledgeable. A person/ event/ society, intriguing the audience and bringing light to something that has never been seen in that visual way before. Exposing something about Therefore the audience learn about the people/events and are also enjoying the thrill of the sometimes intense proceedings. The directors or authors of the movies may also exaggerate/ add something a little extra to the story, the genre a more broad appeal, national recognition and historical significance.

 

Pre-viewing influences to watching a drama genre movie, would be the advertisement, such as movie posters. Movie posters of the drama genre are, most typically, a close-up of the main character, or a few of the main characters. This shows the actors that will appear in the movie, this would appeal to the audience as if they are interested in the actors/ actresses, then they will most likely watch the movies.
