Because of the movies of this genre often are based on true events and people, it makes the films very knowledgeable. A person/ event/ society, intriguing the audience and bringing light to something that has never been seen in that visual way before. The directors or authors of the movies may also exaggerate/ add something a little extra to the story, the genre a more broad appeal, national recognition and historical significance.
