Stop Motion Animation

Stop motion is an animation technique that physically manipulates an object so that it appears to move on its own. The object is moved in small increments between individually photographed frames, creating the illusion of movement when the series of frames is played as a continuous sequence.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

-Quick sudden movements, e.g. violence.

-3D pictures.

-Black out the edges of the cut out images.

-Use lights, far from the images, to reduce shadows.

-Use glass to hold down the pieces of paper.

-Tape on the back of the pieces, to keep them still.

-Stor the pieces of paper in an envolope to not loose them.

-can't do refined speech.

Cutout animation is a technique for producing stop-animations by using flat characters, props and backgrounds cut from materials such as paper, card, stiff fabric or even photographs.
